An on-air meeting is held to discuss the plans with a live phoneline for listeners’ contributions and suggestions. However, Pete Davis starts shouting and gets very drunk and abusive, insulting everybody who disagrees with him. When he insists on the station name being changed he is sacked. He walks out, taking four DJs with him. The live programme is suspended, and a taped show hurriedly goes out.
